Product Overview
The NCP1075AAP065G from On Semiconductor is an enhanced off-line switcher in 7 pin DIP package. This product integrates a fixed frequency current mode controller with a 700V MOSFET. It offers a high level of integration, including soft start, frequency jittering, short circuit protection, skip cycle, a maximum peak current set point, ramp compensation and a dynamic self supply (DSS, eliminating the need for an auxiliary winding). Unlike other monolithic solutions IC is quiet by nature. When the output power demand diminishes, the IC automatically enters frequency foldback mode and provides excellent efficiency at light loads. When the power demand reduces further, it enters into a skip mode to reduce the standby consumption down to a no load condition. Protection features include a timer to detect an overload or a short circuit event, over voltage protection with auto recovery. It is used for robust and highly efficient power supplies.
- Input AC voltage range from 85V to 265V, 10W power rating, skip-cycle operation at low peak current
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C
- Large Creepage distance between high voltage pins, over power protection
- Auto recovery over voltage protection with auxiliary winding operation, 2nd level current protection
- Auto recovery output short circuit protection with timer based detection
- Current mode fixed frequency operation of 65KHz
- Dynamic self supply no need for an auxiliary winding, frequency jittering for better EMI signature
- 400mA IPK, 13.5ohm RDS(ON), eliminate Aux winding and acoustic noise, internal 10ms soft-start
- No load input consumption of <50mW, enhanced protection against too low or too high input voltage
- 2.9V AC line OVP level, frequency foldback to improve efficiency at light load
