Product Overview
The AR166-LC is an advanced real time kernel for the Infineon XC16x and C16x as well as the STMicroelectronics ST10 families of microcontrollers with node locked license type available in downloadable form. It is designed to solve several problems in embedded programs. While it is possible to implement an embedded program without using a real time kernel, a proven kernel like AR saves time and makes software development easier.
- Multitasking allows to manage several jobs (tasks) on a single CPU
- Real time control allows to configure tasks that operations execute within a defined period of time
- Flash file system allows to create, save, read and modify files stored on a standard flash memory
- TCP/IP networking is a ground up implementation specifically designed for embedded applications
