Product Overview
ADUM5404 is a quad-channel digital isolator with isoPower®, an integrated, isolated dc-to-dc converter. It is based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. This isolator provide four independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates. This isolator eliminate the need for a separate, isolated dc-to-dc converter in low power and isolated designs. The iCoupler chip scale transformer technology is used to isolate the logic signals for power and feedback paths in the dc-to-dc converter. The result is a small form factor, total isolation solution. It is certified by UL recognition 2500V rms for 1 minute per UL 1577, CSA Component Acceptance Notice 5A, VDE certificate of conformity, IEC 60747-5-2 (VDE 0884, Part 2), VIORM = 560V peak. This isolator is widely used in application such as RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceivers, industrial field bus isolation, power supply start-up bias and gate drives, isolated sensor interfaces, industrial PLCs etc.

- Upto 500mW output power, output noise is 130mV p-p CBO = 0.1µF 10µF, IISO = 90mA
- Quad dc-to-25Mbps (NRZ) signal isolation channels
- High common-mode transient immunity is >25kV/µs
- Number of inputs, VDD1 side is 0
- Number of inputs, VDD2 side is 4
- Maximum data rate is 25Mbps
- Maximum propagation delay is 60nS at 5V, maximum pulse width distortion is 6nS
- Operating temperature range is -40°C to +105°C
- Package style is 16-lead SOIC-W
