Product Overview

The SN65HVD256DR is a CAN Transceiver with fast loop times for highly loaded networks. Designed for data rates in excess of 1Mbps for CAN in short networks and enhanced timing margin and higher data rates in long and highly-loaded networks. The device provides many protection features to enhance device and CAN-network robustness. Meets the requirements of ISO11898-2.

This device has limited built-in ESD protection, leads should be shorted together or the device placed in conductive foam during storage or handling to prevent electrostatic damage to the MOS gates.
