element14 supports the responsible recycling of mobile phones through MobileMuster; the mobile phone industry’s official product stewardship program program in Australia. MobileMuster is a not for profit program and a free service which aims to:

  • Keep old mobiles and accessories out of landfill
  • Recycle all components in a safe, secure and ethical way, and
  • Recover as much of the materials in these phones for reuse

MobileMuster is a not-for-profit program owned and funded by handset manufacturers and network carriers. All recycling of components is to the highest environmental standards. None of the mobiles are sold for reuse.

To participate:

  • Sydneysiders: simply drop off your phone at our Trade Counter located at 72 Ferndell Street Chester Hill between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday
  • For all other customers, you can either drop off your mobiles and accessories at any of the 4,500 participating mobile phone retailer and local council collection points Australia wide or you can post them back for free by either downloading a reply paid mailing label or picking up a recycling satchel from your local Australia Post outlet
