Shipments

 

We offer a variety of shipping methods for your order. Once your order is shipped, we'll notify you via email, informing you of the tracking number so you always know where your order is. Below is a list of common shipping questions.

When will my order be shipped?

Your order will be despatched on the same day if you meet the cut-off times specified below. These cut-off times are guaranteed Monday - Friday (excluding holidays) for orders shipped within Australia and New Zealand. Orders received on Saturday and Sunday will be shipped on the next business day.

Australia: 6:00 PM (Sydney time)

New Zealand: 6:30 PM

Although we strive for fast delivery of your orders, certain orders may take longer to despatch. These include, but are not limited to:

-    Orders placed by an account which is under credit review 
-    Orders of goods not currently in stock 
-    Orders placed with a request for a future release date, or a consolidated shipment 
-    Orders with special packaging or handling requests

Note: Hazardous goods are sent by road freight and cannot be shipped by air or sent via Australia Post. There may be additional transit times and freight charges on hazardous goods.

What shipping methods are available?

We offer you numerous delivery options. Here are guidelines you can follow to select the most appropriate method for your order.

Same Day Despatch for orders before 6pm

Select this option if you would prefer to sign for delivery of your order. If you or an authorised representative is not at your designated premises at the time of delivery, the driver will leave a “Sorry, we missed you” card at your premises. You are then able to call Toll Priority to organise for delivery of your order at a time that suits you.

Australia Post – No Signature Required

Note: Hazardous goods cannot be sent via this method. Select this option if you would like to receive your order via Australia Post. We will send your order via Express Post to your designated address. If you are not at your premises to receive your parcel and it is too large to fit in the mail box, it will be left in a safe location. If a safe location cannot be found, a card will be left and you will be required to collect your order from the specified Australia Post retail outlet. Please note that by choosing this option you are authorising your parcel to be left at your unattended premises and is deemed received when left at your premises. element14 does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage which results from choosing this delivery method.

Collection Service

Select this option if you want to collect your order from our Collections Counter, located at 72 Ferndell Street, Chester Hill NSW 2162. Our opening hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

What are my choices for backorder preferences?

For backorder preferences, you may choose from the following:

  • Backorder allowed - We'll ship in-stock items immediately and place any out-of-stock items on backorder. Backordered items will be shipped as they become available. Therefore, your order may arrive in single or multiple shipments.
  • Full Ship - Simply request for a full shipment in the special instruction field when you place your order online. Your order will arrive in one shipment.

How much do you charge for shipping?

element14 offers free shipping for all orders placed via any channel over the value of $45.00.
Note: For orders under the value of $45.00 our packaging, handling and delivery charge for deliveries up to 20kg† by Express Courier is $12.95 (excluding GST).

†Any orders exceeding 20kg (which includes dimensional weight calculations) will be subject to additional freight charges and shipped via an off-peak service.

Hazardous goods are sent by road freight and cannot be shipped by air or sent via Australia Post. There may be additional transit times and freight charges on hazardous goods.

Express or Standard courier delivery is available; please contact our sales office to discuss options.

What should I do if product is damaged in shipment?

Our merchandise is carefully packed for shipment by our distribution centres, or is pre-packaged by our suppliers in compliance with carrier requirements. However we realise that shipment damage may occur in spite of these precautions.

Please check all shipments when they are delivered for shortages or external signs of damage. If you find a problem, please contact our customer service department. If containers in your shipment appear damaged, you should immediately unpack them and inspect the contents. If there is damage, please contact our customer service department. Even if the containers in your shipment appear undamaged, you should still unpack and examine them as soon as possible. If you find concealed loss or damage, immediately contact our customer service department. Please do not dispose of any containers or packing material before any carrier inspection.
